14A12(J) AND USN TEAM TACTICS TRAINERS

MES has been providing modifications to Device 14A12(J) located in Yokosuka, Japan and 14A12 simulators located in the United States. The upgrades provides enhanced real-time simulation of the combat weapon systems and threats. MES is migrating old architecture to P.C based system.

COMMAND AND CONTROL SYSTEM TEAM TRAINERS
As a subcontractor MES provides support for the platform hydraulics overhaul and computer systems rehost for the Trident Ship Control Trainers and Trident Command and Control Trainer. This modification is designed to improve performance and fidelity while also minimizing life cycle costs of Trident trainers, and minimizing cost of Trident training facilities located in Bangor, Maine and Kings Bay, Georgia.

  SUBMARINE MULTI-MISSION TEAM TRAINERS

MES provides systems engineering services as a subcontractor on the Submarine Multi-Mission Team Trainer (SMMTT, previously known as Device 21B64). These services include design and testing trainer systems to interface with the new Tactical Rapid Cots Insertion (RCI) acoustic display and analysis system. MES is also developing simulation designs for the following major systems: PNB/CLASS LFAR and Full Spectrum; PBB PLOC; and Towed Array Motion Model (TAMM) additions needed for tracking and Latitude/Longitude conversion.

MULTI-MISSION TACTICAL TRAINER (MMTT) DEAD RECKONING TRACER (DRT)

MES design, developed and fabricated the PC-based Open-architecture Reconfigurable Training System (PORTS) Multi-Mission Tactical Trainer (MMTT) Dead Reckoning Tracer (DRT) located at the following locations: SWOS in Newport, RI, CSCS Det East in Norfolk, VA, and FLEASWTRACEN in San Diego

The dead reckoning tracer (DRT) device for the Multi-Mission Tactical Trainer (MMTT) is older technology and unsupportable, dating from the World War II era. The design proposed used a DLP HDTV with LED illuminator to act as a projection device. The HDTV offers a low cost, simple design solution to replace the existing lamp projector in the Dead Reckoning Tracer. The projection of the compass rose and “bug”, or ownship position, will be software driven from a desktop computer. The PMP arm will be leveraged from the existing DRT trainers, and mounted to the proposed DRT enclosure in this SOW.  This contract establishes the guidelines for building the enclosure to accommodate the HDTV, computers, and PMP arm.
